Join visiting South Australian artist Sandra Gale for this super fun mixed media Collage Art workshop that is all about celebrating female empowerment whilst making awesome art for your home.
In this workshop, participants will create their own A3 collage portrait in Sandra Gale’s colourful signature style.
They will cut and assemble their piece using pre-prepared patterned papers, choosing skin tones, hairstyles, and facial features to create a unique and expressive portrait.
The workshop is designed for all skill levels, with templates available for guidance and plenty of room for creativity.
Sandra will guide participants through the process step by step, from background preparation to layering and gluing, with the option to incorporate empowering words or affirmations into their design.
By the end of the session, everyone will take home a finished artwork ready to frame or display.
This is an adult open age class but is suitable for age 12 plus and no previous experience is necessary however children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
All materials and light refreshments will be provided.

With a background in illustration and design, she has built a career creating original art that brings joy and energy to collectors across Australia. Her work has been featured in major art fairs, and she shares her creative process through exhibitions, licensing, and workshops.
Sandra’s approach to art is hands-on and intuitive. She paints and patterns her own papers before cutting and assembling them into layered, textural portraits and still life pieces. She enjoys exploring themes of identity, resilience, and connection in her work and loves helping others tap into their creativity in a relaxed, encouraging environment.
