Is there anything better than diving head first into decorating for Christmas?

Don't worry about answering that - it was actually a rhetorical question because duh, we all know the answer to that one.

One of our favourite things to do at Little Lane at this time of the year is to give the studio all the festive feels and this year we decided to decorate the windows with some Christmassy Village Houses because... well I'm kind of obsessed with them.

Before I starting drawing all over the windows hoping for the best, I decided to hunt around on the internet and find some templates and lo and behold.... ta da!

We found the best ones ever via Edding.com

Armed with a chunky 8mm white chalk chisel tip marker (we bought ours from Amazon here) Talia (our lovely work experience gal that week) and myself took to the windows.

Now, if you have been to our studio, you would know that our windows are big... like floor to ceiling so I wasn't going to get overly ambitious.

We chose two of the the XL templates for our window (we will link the specific ones we used below for you) and we printed each template out over 4 pages and stuck them together with sticky tape.

We taped the templates to the outside of our window and then started drawing on the inside. This way we could be sure our hard work would not wash off in the rain.

After each section we finished, we shifted the template along and started again until voilà... our window was covered.

If you are wondering about how we are going to remove this after Christmas, it's easy peasy because the chalk pen just wipes off with water.

This is such a fun project to do at your workplace or at home.

Have fun!
